Hobbies and Interests

    We often invite friends and family over to “hang out” for the evening.  Jen loves to cook dinner and bake dessert (Marty “helps” with dessert).  We are both big fans of music and shows.  A few years ago we took dancing lessons and love to hit the dance floor!  Marty loves photography and we like to visit the botanical gardens and local zoos where there is always beauty to be photographed.  Alexa also lets her parents tag along when she goes on play dates.

    We have taken some great trips!  We’ve been to Boston, Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Montreal, Quebec, Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, California, Holland, France, Belgium and visited German and Dutch friends. Most of all, we like to take weekend getaway trips: sometimes with other families.  We enjoy taking these same trips with Alexa, participating in all of the tourist-y activities and taking the trips you can only take with kids!

        In addition to spending time together, we appreciate the need for “alone time.”  Jen loves to kick back and read a good novel or write e-mails to international and local friends, while Marty enjoys programming, reading about new technologies and playing his guitar.
